The Dark Knight.

After all the hype I though I'd be disappointed, but I certainly was not. It was a spectacular film, it has all the key components, a great story, great acting great special affect and they didn't screw up the ending like alot of films do. Superbly acted by Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, it also boasts excellent supporting cast of more people than I care to mention, but most notably Morgan Freeman, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Gary Oldman. The film is just over two and a half hours long but it felt alot shorter. It just flies along never losing the audience with useless overly long action sequences or any of that pesky character development that normally pisses me off. It's a very dark as story not really targeted form the kids although I'm sure they'll all want to see it. Now that I've seen the film I also think I understand a little better the true tragedy of Heath Ledgers passing. A great actor to be sure, in a role deserving of an academy award nomination, the fact that we will never be allowed the see him again in another film is saddening to say the least...
